What students said

ECON GU4415 · Spring 2023

basic theory for making rational decisions

ECON GU4415 · Spring 2023

During this course, I learned multi-person decision theory - how to use probability and calculus to assess strategic interactions between rational agents. This extended into games of coordination, cooperation, and conflict resolution.

ECON GU4415 · Spring 2023

I learned very little. It's nash equilibrium keeping repeating itself. I get so confused and the materials are very unclear. I need to learn online from other resources to understand.

ECON GU4415 · Spring 2023

I learned key concepts in game theory, and how to approach problem solving in a strategic manner.

ECON GU4415 · Spring 2023

game theory, nash equilibrium, and so on.

ECON GU4415 · Spring 2023

The course is very interesting, but homework assignments can be difficult.

ECON GU4415 · Spring 2023

You learn a lot as the psets challenge you. In addition, by taking hard Psets, you prepare very well for exams

ECON GU4415 · Spring 2023

It's a hard class but I feel like game theory is an Econ staple.

ECON GU4415 · Spring 2023

I would only recommend the class to other students with very solid math skills as the course is very challenging.

ECON GU4415 · Spring 2023

The class is curved according to the undergraduates' performances while this class is graduate and undergraduate mixed. The undergraduates are Columbia College ivy league students. I don't understand why they have extra care on their grades. They studied so hard and get extra attention while they outperform graduate students? This is unfair.
