Weekly psets, 2 midterms and a final. He gives out practice exams that sometimes are similar to the real one and sometimes completely different.
I learned about RREF, how to solve systems, the gram-schmidt process, eigenvalues and eigenspaces
Don't take this class if you cannot learn on your own. Prof. Castronovo is clearly really bright but he cannot teach. He assumed we knew linear algebra for the course (which we did not) and based so many explanations on it. His lecture notes are really good but not at all friendly if you have not seen the material of the course before. He says he curves in a way that benefits all of us; he did not. I survived this class and actually learned some calc by finding a book on my own, learning, and then using his notes to review.
I learned basic concepts and formulas about linear algebra.
Multivariable calculus: One to many multivariable functions, many to one, and many to many. Finding local maximum and minimum, Lagrange multipliers. Multivariable integration for one to many, many to one, and many to many functions, finding surface area, path integral, and volume. Divergence and Curl. Green's Theorem, Stokes Theorem and Divergence Theorem. Applying linear algebra to solve multivariable problems.
I learned all about linear algebra in each of the three parts of class. i have a much better understanding of the applications of linear algebra and problem solving!
Multivariable Calculus concepts and comuptations and some logics behind each concept
I learned how to properly handle the content, procedures, equations, theorems, etc. in efficient ways. We know how to handle matrixes very well and to do all needed actions on them.
Calculus in more dimensions; lines, graphs, surfaces, volumes. Vectors, matrixes, partial derivatives, change coordinate systems, double and triple integrals, stokes, divergence, curl.
I've learned general linear algebra from matrix to eigenvector problems, and how to use and solve it.
