I learned Calc II (i.e. all kinds of integration, sequences and series, simple differential equations, parametric equations, polar coordinates).
It's kind of mandatory for STEM majors who haven't tested out so - my recommendation doesn't do much.
I learned how to use theorems and cases and how to apply them to mathematical problems (thinking outside the box using knowledge we learned in class).
I learned a lot about evaluating integrals and the applications of that. Then we jumped into the different types of sequences and series and the methods for finding their convergence.
There was a lot to learn. In short, I learned mostly the importance of understanding the concepts taught in the class in a way that allowed me to explain them myself. I also learned to focus on how to complete the problems in a logical way that did not require much memorization but rather proper understanding.
Learned : -How to solve complex integrals. -How to evaluate the convergence of series and sequences through various tests. -Taylor series.
We learned about improper integrals, differential equations, series and sequences and their convergence, convergence of improper integrals. But I use the term learned lightly as it was not a very well taught class.
Multiple types of integration techniques (about 1/3 of the class), sequences/series and applications
Learned integral calculus. Most importantly, I learned how to seek out help from other Columbia resources, since my professor was inadequate at providing help and support.
I learned new integration strategies, differential equations, the convergence and divergence of sequences and series, about the uses of power series. Additionally, I learned more about the algebraic manipulation of expressions, integrals, summation, and factorials.
