The main takeaway of the course is to take an objective, heterodox approach to evaluating and analyzing the different facets of American democracy.

A great course that discusses past and current challenges to American democracy. A good mix of readings, video, and interviews give vibrancy to the course. The course helps students think critically and analyze controversial topics, and furthers a students desire to learn more about the topics outside of class.
