I learned a lot more about the applications of Calculus in Mr. Remy's Accelerated Multivariable Calculus course. Additionally, I recognized my weakness in the knowledge of execution of Calculus I and II topics and have been improving those areas since the beginning of this class. Lastly, I grew more accustomed to giving the study of math more time and effort than I had given it in previous classes.

MATH UN1205 · Fall 2021

Multivariable calc (and that 8:40 classes are not for me)

MATH UN1205 · Fall 2021

Vectors in dimensions 2 and 3, vector-valued functions of one variable, scalar-valued functions of several variables, partial derivatives, gradients, optimization, Lagrange multipliers, double and triple integrals, line and surface integrals, vector calculus. This course is an accelerated version of MATH UN1201 - MATH UN1202. Students taking this course may not receive credit for MATH UN1201 and MATH UN1202.

MATH UN1205 · Fall 2021

The grading in this course is very rough and due to the accelerated nature of the course there is less time to go in depth on topics. Combining calculus 3 and 4 into one semester is helpful for majors that require completion of the calculus sequence, as it allows this to be done in one less class.

MATH UN1205 · Fall 2021

I'd highly recommend taking any class with Mr. Remy as an instructor. However, the Accelerated Multivariable Calculus class in particular is very challenging, largely due to the fact that it essentially covers Calculus III and Calculus IV in one course.

MATH UN1205 · Fall 2021

exams were way to hard, not representative of homework and practice exam questions. Lectures did not help at all. Most kids stopped attending lecture and learned everything on their own, only showing up for tests. Professor went through everything too fast, assumed everyone understood everything.

Very approachable professor, explain things clear.
