MATH UN1003 · Spring 2023

To learn math in a fast-paced environment

MATH UN1101 · Fall 2022

Pretty standard calculus one. Explorations of derivatives and integrals, aligns very close to AP calc AB (just moves faster and a bit more in depth).

MATH UN1003 · Spring 2023

In this course, I learned the basic components needed to engage in higher-level Mathematics, by completing various proofs to understand complex equations and models.

MATH UN1101 · Fall 2022

I learned the absolute minimum in this class. Did not refine any skills nor learn anything new. This class is better suited for those that already know the Calculus I material and want to pick an easy class with a good grading policy.

MATH UN1101 · Fall 2022

Basic calculus, and how they can be applied to some real-world problems or situations

MATH UN1101 · Fall 2022

A lot of basic calculus. Most of the information was information I learned last year however.

MATH UN1101 · Fall 2022

I learned a lot from this class, most was just calculus from high school expanded but I did learn new concepts as well.

MATH UN1101 · Fall 2022

Everything that I learned in this class I taught to myself using resources online. It is impossible to actually learn anything from the in class lectures. All of them are written in terrible handwriting in faint chalk, which Prof. Hinkle stands directly in front anyways even if you were in fact trying to copy down some notes. The only saving grace is that everything in the class was take home, making it so that you were able to take good individual notes you could still get a decent grade. But even if you did do your best to try and teach yourself everything possible, somehow all the questions on the homework assignments felt like they should not be part of a calc 1 class. Prof Hinkle is certainly a genius in his field, but cannot determine the actual difficulty level that the average student is able to handle in this class.

MATH UN1101 · Fall 2022

If you already know calc and are looking to just get the credit, this section is straightforward. Complete the problem sets and exams and you'll do fine. If you're looking to really learn something and have a positive learning experience, you aren't going to get it from this class.

MATH UN1101 · Fall 2022

This class isn't very hard, you have a ton of time to do psets/tests, so it works pretty well if you need to take calc but you have other time intensive courses.
