Earth And Environmental Sciences · Columbia University
The different factors that influence how the climate works, how different types of climates are created, the impact of the ocean on the atmosphere and vice versa, how ccliamte change works, how it impacts other systems, etc..
I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in climate change, but it would be helpful to have a strong science background for some of the concepts. 1 Columbia University: Arts & Sciences Fall 2021 Course: EESCGU4020_001_2021_3-HUMANS&THECARBONCYCLE : HUMANS & THE CARBON CYCLE (EESC 4020)- EESCGU4020_001_2021_3 - HUMANS & THE CARBON CYCLE Instructor: Galen McKinley
I learned about the key components of our climate and climate change, such as the motion of heat, CO2, and water throughout the climate system.
I learned about how different elements of the climate system interact and are studied.
I learned about the chemical and physical processes involved in the Earth's atmospheric and ocean circulation.
The physics and chemistry behind climate (atmospheric and oceanic processes), along with climate change causes and impacts.
This class was super interesting - I feel like I gained a lot of knowledge about how the climate system works.
I learned about the climate and how it is involved in many systems on the planet.
I learned about the overall climate system, the inter-workings of the atmosphere and the water cycle, and the ways in which climate change has and will continue to impact us on a global scale.
I learned basic functions and driving factors of the global climate system. I also appreciated learning about climate change and how it is impacting human life.
