Basics and fundamentals of International Human Rights Law and how to make compelling arguments for or against certain practices of IHRL in the UN/other international bodies

Approached international human rights from a structural standpoint, taking into consideration the legal framework and the layout of the regime.

I learned a lot about the inner workings of international human rights law and its various courts/treaties/covenants/etc. By studying different cases from different IHRL courts, we learned how these practices are implemented in different ways.

I learnt a lot about the UN's structure, processes and mechanisms, as well as other international and national institutions that contribute to enforcing international laws.

I learned how human rights law is interpreted by various states, and how the worlds largest institution of human rights has advantages and limitations. I also saw different perspectives, of while it was welcomed, was not exactly favorable or challenging.

This class is a must-take if you are interested in HR.

It's good for students majoring in HR, not sure if those outside of the major would find as much value in it.
