This was an incredible class. Arianas reading list, lectures, and group discussions were incredibly informative. I learned the foundations of sociological theory and how to apply them to contemporary issues. I also gain skills in writing and analyzing difficult and complex theoretical texts.

I learned much about the sociological /theoretical perspective, an invaluable approach to understanding not only how people relate and understand each other but also how power functions. I learned how inequality permeates social interaction and how different social scientists understand such inequality. I improved my capacity to think critically and ask productive questions.

As a sociology student, this is the course you must take before you call yourself a sociology student.
