If you are interested in how policies are made in the U.S., I would definitely recommend this class (and especially Professor Russell). I learned that politics needs to be examined with a variety of methods including polls, data analysis, historical context, and numerous others. It is not easy to come to straight conclusions in politics because it is a difficult study of complex humans. More than anything I learned that politics is not just a study of statistical data, but a study of psychology and sociology too.

I learned a lot about the fundamentals of American politics and how the American government operates.

The structure of US government, different ways to analyze the effectiveness of these branches

learned a lot, especially writing argumentative essays about what i learned in class

THe basics about American Politics, including the three official branches, the bureaucratic machine, and important historic events and supreme court cases. We also looked at relevant data and graphs concerning American politics.

I learned about the basis of American topics and some foundational information about political science such collective action problems, prisoner's dilemma, etc.

I learned so much about American politics, the founders, the history of American politics and the challenges in the political arena.

overall feel more knowledgable of the political system and its history in America.
