We learned how to set up a research project, find data, and write a literature review.
I learned how to draft a good research question, how to conduct proper research in the social sciences, and how to submit an application to the Institutional Review Board.
The class was more about individual guidance on our respective topics. I received some helpful guidance on the direction of my paper and how to approach the structure of a large paper.
I have already built a lot of skills in conducting my own research, including building testable hypotheses, conducting literature review, collecting and analyzing data, and drafting a thesis.

We have reviewed past theses and built the foundational work for writing the thesis. I submitted the first chapter of my thesis at the end of this semester.
