i learned so much about the First Amendment and what does or doesn't apply as well as what a course in law school would look like (i am interested in law school so this was an excellent bonus).

I gained a comprehensive understanding of the first amendment, the philosophy behind it, the history of its formulation and interpretation, the key free speech issues in first amendment scholarship, and how those issues still unfold today. I also was introduced to the skill of reading cases and write/think legally, which was cool.

This class provides an excellent primer in reading and analyzing court cases, as well as using the insights and skills gleaned for the sake of critical thinking and problem solving within various fields.

Everything about freedom of Speech in terms of First Amendment interpretation.

In terms of both material and class structures, I have learned the most from the class. It is a class modeled after law school (albeit not a replica) with cold callings in class and the entire grade based upon two exams.

I learned how to think about 1st Amendment law and jurisprudence and what analytical processes that I must go through in order to think like a lawyer would.
