Learnt debates about the situation and nature of democracy and it alternatives
Learnt about ideas around democracy, learnt a lot about Weber, learnt about hybrid regimes.
I learned a lot from her lectures and ramblings, but they were hard to piece together sometimes given that she would go on tangents. I think it would've been nice if she had a teaching assistant as some of the lectures were a bit disjointed. I learned a lot regarding her views on the readings we discussed which was nice, as they influenced the way I had interpreted those readings.
A great deal. The twentieth century history of political thought about the nature and definitions of democracy, constitutionalism, dictatorship, authoritarianism, populism, etc.
I learned a ton about the relationship between Democracy and Authoritarianism.

I think it's a great course that should be required for most students of political science. It's a course that considers some of the biggest questions in the discipline, which students should, at the very least, be aware of and made to think about, irrespective of whichever subfield of political science they pursue.
I think this class is only for people that have a very keen interest in the literature.
It's hard to self-motivate in an online environment, and a class like this with a huge expectation of self-motivation can be regrettable in this format.
