I learned a lot in terms of reading and writing Korean in a formal, academic setting. While I've read Korean texts before and written essays in Korean, this course really enhanced my skills in these areas. I learned how to analyze the texts we read on a deeper level than I was used to. We spent a lot of time trying to understand the author's intentions and hidden meanings that the author tried to incorporate through rhetorical devices and tone. I feel so much more confident in my ability to read, understand, and analyze texts written in Korean.

Beom Lee · 2024 · 2024

It is pretty difficult, so I would only recommend if the student is really interested in the subject.

Through this course, I became more comfortable reading and writing in Korean at a more advanced level.

Beom Lee · 2024 · 2024

I expanded my understanding of Korean grammar, vocabulary, and cultural context in an academic setting. I had never taken an academic Korean course prior to this so all the lexicon was quite edifying.
