I learned about the vast scope that encompasses Israeli cinema and he movements in time--social and political--that have impacted the medium. I gained a greater appreciation of this cinema and learned a lot about the history and culture of Israel.

A fundamental understanding of Israeli cinema history, tendencies and makers from its inception to its contemporary renderings.

I learned to leek differently at movies in general and to appreciate some aspects of them much more. I learned how look critically at movies and to actually have an opinion about them. The focus was on analyzing aspects of the movies rather than "like or dislike" which was great.

A good survey of Israeli cinema and some relevant history

I learned a lot about visual analysis in film and the vocabulary necessary to critically examine the works we watched. I also felt that the reading contextualized well the films and aided greatly in understanding the social dynamics at play within them.
