She only required the course wide required homeworks on gradescope. The Proton lessons were optional and most people only completed them if they felt uncomfortable with a topic. The homework was graded on completion. The highest weighted item for a grade was the project. The project consisted of a scientific research paper written about the science behind a popular movie, and then a subsequent oral presentation on the research. She graded both the paper and the presentation very fairly and generously.
The same as any other section: 1 WIA a week (they're pretty much busy work, although if it's confusing to you, I've heard that the help rooms basically guide you through everything) and the dreaded term paper (2200 words)
Weekly problem set (pretty easy), quizzes at the end of each unit (basic), midterm and final (graded leniently), and a "research paper" that involves analyzing a scientific article (also graded quite nicely). Not bad at all, compared with other sections.
Average. A WIA due every week, excluding the first few weeks, when team projects were assigned.
Maybe half an hour a week doing the WIA (weekly worksheet). Then one day prepping for midterm and final, each. FAR more reasonable than other frontiers leaders.
Typical Frontiers stuff. Weekly discussion questions. 4 Problem Sets. 2 Field Experiments. Final Exam.

best teacher ever. seminars are slightly tough to get through because material sometimes is not interesting. office hours go to them. very helpful and do the homework.
Moderately lengthy weekly WIAs, Weekly Questions/Unit Reviews (rote work that she hopefully adjusts next semester), Unit Quizzes (Short and Easy), 1500-2000 word term paper, Coursewide midterm and final with cheat sheet. This class has the best work-to-credit ratio out of any class you'll probably take at Columbia; enjoy the GPA boost it provides.
