I learned more about the collocations and etymologies of many characters!

I love this course so much. Under Professor Peng's guidance, I elevate my reading, writing, and speaking skills into new heights and at the same time, I delve more into Chinese literature and culture.

I learned about some literature in Mandarin.

From close reading to the text to present your own analysis at the final project presentation. It was a very fulfilling experience of learning, combining the history, literature, linguistic, and even some psychology theories.

I would recommend this to anyone who wants to dive deeper into texts

I have already recommend this class to many people around me. I think it is great way to connect to the language. Dr. Liu is such a repository of knowledge about everything Chinese, from the origin of characters to the Cultural Revolution.

I learned more about the Chinese language, but I also learned a lot about Chinese history, Chinese scholars, Chinese literature, and other subjects.
