It was a very enjoyable and manageable course; it’s five credits so it is a time commitment, but it was generally pretty easy I feel, and professor Matsui was extremely kind and understanding of any extenuating circumstances. 1 Columbia University: Arts & Sciences Fall 2023 Course: JPNSUN3005_001_2023_3-THIRDYEARJAPANESEI : JPNSUN3005_001_2023_3 - THIRD YEAR JAPANESE I Instructor: Kyoko Loetscher

JPNS UN1101 · Fall 2023

I started with 0 knowledge of Japanese, and now I'm surprised at the amount of things that I can say! I am very excited to be in class everyday and continue gaining more knowledge. I learned grammar, sentence structure, and 2 alphabets fully and working on a third! It's still shocking to me that I can read Japanese sometimes.

JPNS UN2201 · Fall 2024

I was able to practice new grammatical structures not by myself, but with other students.
