We learned about the organizational structure, MBTI, and the study of history. These three topics are important and can definitely help us become better leaders and stage managers.

This class taught me the importance of leadership. In discussing corporate structure, history, and our ways of thinking I learned what type of leader I have been, currently am, and am looking to become. I gained more communication skills and overall new perspective on leadership.

In terms of knowledge and perspective I really learned a lot in this course. We got to dig deeper into our own personalities and leadership styles while comparing and contrasting leadership over the years.

This course focused on some basic understanding of leadership of stage managers, in terms of the understanding of history, historiography, personality traits, vulnerability, and role of leaders in general.

I stepped into this class very in the fog but now by the end, the objectives and goals of this class has become very clear with readings, discussion and assignment throughout the semester. This was a very basic step in understanding the nature of being a leader and how that would tie into our roles as a stage manager. I learned a lot in terms of how to communicate, analyze and incorporate my own unique methodologies in my stage managing skills.

We learn what it leadership in Stage Management. What are the characteristics a leader should have. What was our myers briggs personality type was and how it reflects in our work. We learn the importance of history and historiography and how it influences our work as Stage Managers.

I recommend we invite more or different guest speakers to class to receive a wide range of perspectives on such an important topic.

This is a course that will lead you into a deeper understanding of leadership of stage management.
