Knowledge that covers basically all the aspects about primates, especially about chimpanzees.
I gained a holistic knowledge base about primates— behavior, conservation, and biology were featured as main topics. In addition, through Professor Sandel, we were able to learn what it looked like to do primatology research.
Overall, it was a nice enriching course that is focused on the fun side of studying primates than the scientific side. It's a great choice for a student that wants an engaging elective course.

I learned about a variety of different aspects with the behavior and ecology of living primates.
Take the course if your childhood dream was to be an explorer / zoo keeper / nature documentary film maker / conservationist / or just wanted to work in nature with animals. This class will help you revisit those dreams and show you that life. Even if you can't continue to dream those dreams (because you are paying an insane amount of money to study and live here), you owe it to your younger self to at least revisit those passions by taking this class.
If you're open-minded and would like to learn in a fun, informal way, this is the class and professor for you
If you can take this again with Prof. Sandel, I would highly recommend it. Actually learned something and wasn't stressed all the time.
