I really liked the focus on supply chain of this course -- in many ways it was more about evaluation of supply chain through the lens of fashion than it was about fashion and sustainability itself.

I learned how the fashion industry contributes to global CO2 emissions, and the inhumane/unfair practices in the industry. I also learned about important pending legislation that will address these issues.

I learned a lot regarding fashion policy and governance, and also different aspects of policy related to fashion including labor rights, environmental issue, transparency, and a lot more. This class also covers the latest changes including the CSRD, the NY Fashion Act, and so on. It's a great class.

This class provides a great overview of both historical and present day policies in the fashion industry. Professor Cline does a great job in breaking down different areas of concern in the fashion industry and teaches students how to analyze policies set up to address these issues.

One of the best classes in this semester! I learned a lot about the sustainability issues within the fashion industry. Further, I learned a lot about the policies that are trying to solve it and the stakeholder dynamics involved in developing a law. It was such a save space to discuss all thoughts around sustainable fashion and the professor is very knowledgable and engaging.

Perspective from students in the class - I loved the dialogue and sharing, especially because it was students from different backgrounds, countries, and courses. I loved the connections and new information I learned. Fashion policy is so important and I am excited to see how this grows. The guest lectures were also very fun and so was the optional field trip.

I learned about the damaging effects of the fashion industry and how policy can work to change these issues.

Over the semester we learned about historical and current policy related to fashion and social/environmental laws, how to analyze stakeholders, greenwashing and labelling, clothing waste, circularity, and overproduction. We also heard from a variety of industry professionals including those involved in policy, marketing, labor laws, and manufacturing. We learned about how policy is developed and passed, and researched both a historic and a modern fashion policy of our choice.

The course was well-organised and structured .

I learned a lot about the fashion industry, fashion policy making and it's policies. The course also changed my opinion in some ways, which made it really valuable.
