Equal share of both technical knowledge and cinema technique/style knowledge. It's a very broad course that does-and tries-to equip the film maker with all the requisite tools to make a film.

I learned a lot! I had very little knowledge of Adobe Premiere before taking this class and I was excited by the opportunity to learn more hard skills. Oscar was fantastic at showing us a range of methodologies that we can employ in our own work; including in class demos and interesting lectures on significant figures in the film editing/directing world.

I learned the technical and creative elements behind video production, what happens before, during and post production.

I learned so much. It is a comprehensive overview of video production. Most importantly, I learned how to set up and light a narrator and how to record a narrator on my own. I also learned basic editing skills and a lot of other useful information.

One has to be prepared to take the technical dive, and I think quite self motivated.

This class is very practical and includes many hands-on exercises during the class so that we can better understand camera, lighting, and editing.

I definitely learned the basics of video production, lighting techniques, and extensive editing work on Adobe Premiere Pro. I remember using photoshop back in high school, but I was unfamiliar with the use of Premiere, this was a great semester in terms of creating, editing and reviewing videos made by myself and my fellow classmates.

Basic knowledge of video production, and many practical hands-on tips.

The basics of photography and film were the core of this class. It goes over the different kinds of still imagery, how to achieve lighting, the kinds of cameras and their functions, as well as the history of these. For film it was very similar, however it also included how to record and edit (in the basic form) sound. Finally, these were applied to creating oral history interviews with a video camera.
