This class really opened my eyes to the drivers of anthropogenic wildlife conflict. Its roots are deeper than I realized before taking this course. I learned to think critically, not only about the causes of the conflict, but mitigation and conservation. Ecosystems are at grave risk due to climate change, human-driven land use, pollution and animal exploitation. The class was sobering, but interesting. I'm very glad I took it.
This is a good interdisciplinary class. I learned about human-wildlife conflicts and interactions and what causes them and what effects they have, as well as how to possibly mitigate them. My presentation and speaking skills improved in this class.

I learned what human wildlife conflicts are both generally and more in-depth case studies within specific categories along with mitigation strategies and techniques to help prevent/compensate/reduce them. Learned a great deal about the non-human animal kingdom (particularly mammals), many biology and ecology terms, learned about conservationists and their approach to situations and how that differs from that of other stakeholders. Some basics about statistics to help us better read and understand studies.
Agriculture and wildlife conflicts, fisheries, policy, international conservation struggles, zoonotic diseases
I learned a lot about different types and examples of human-wildlife conflict around the world and solutions for conservation. I gained perspectives of different stakeholders in these conflicts.
I learned so much about ecology in general, as well as major factors in human-wildlife conflict, common stakeholders, historical mitigation techniques, etc.
I had a lot of fun in this class, learned a lot, and was very engaged. The material is very interesting and very applicable to everyday life.
