Almost zero workload. A couple times we had to submit videos of us performing the combo but that was very minimal. I assumed everyone received an A.

While I enjoyed the course for the most part, if you have zero dance experience Jennifer is not the most understanding or considerate. She has high expectations and demands a lot from her students. It was particularly awkward when she'd put people on the spot to do a section of the routine or yell counts at them when they weren't getting it right. Overall it can be very intimidating for a new dancer. Also she missed many classes which would be filled in by a sub or she'd just cancel them last minute

Just come to class! (but we also had 2 short 1 page papers [low stress] and had to create our own ~1-2 minute performance video).

I valued the energy that Jennifer and Yvonne brought to the course. They were direct and bold. They also encouraged us to learn more about the culture. She made sure that people were only in the class who wanted to be there, which was a little scary the first day but made the rest of the classes feel very welcoming. Come back the second day! I almost did not, but it was so worth it!
