A lot about Chinese culture through discussing Chinese family structure, history, business, etc. There is dictation almost everyday of the class, which really helps you improve character recognition and the writing of characters. There is also a lot of reading for the course. Besides the major chapter reading, there are also subreadings that are extensions to the main ideas of the chapter. Overall, you learn a lot from this course, but sometimes workload can be heavy.
