During this course, I learned more about speaking Mandarin with a particular emphasis on pronunciation and utilizing the correct tones.

Many of the course topics are based on studying abroad in China and how to navigate life, such as how to go to the bank or see a doctor.
I would recommend the course to people who are hoping to continue improving their proficiency in the language. However, you must understand the time commitment required of this course. Classes are typically an hour and fifteen minutes with an additional hour long drill session. If you register for this course, know that you will be memorizing roughly 30 characters a night or every other night for quizzes during the week (yes, quizzes). I wouldn't recommend taking this class with other time consuming courses.
The learning environment is helpful and encouraged me! Lots of vocab, grammatical structures, and pronunciation. Learned a little about Chinese culture as well in terms of food, one-child policy, and family life.
A lot of vocabulary, reading, pronunciation, some (but not a lot) of writing of characters.
This semester, we continued our learning of the Chinese language to become more fluent in it while also acquiring more vocab and grammar
